OSHA 10 Hour General Industry For Healthcare

OSHA General Industry Courses

Occupational Exposure Hazardous Chemicals In Laboratories

8 hour course. OSHA recognizing the unique characteristics of the laboratory workplace, has tailored a standard for occupational exposure to hazardous chemicals in laboratories. This standard is often referred to as the "Laboratory Standard". Under this standard, a laboratory is required to produce a Chemical Hygiene Plan which addresses the specific hazards found in its location, and its approach to them. A laboratory means a facility where the "laboratory use of hazardous chemicals" occurs.

First Aid, CPR & AED Courses

Standard First Aid and Adult CPR/AED

Individuals in the workplace will learn how to apply the skills necessary to respond to respiratory, cardiac emergencies, including airway obstruction, rescue breathing, CPR, the use of an AED, and basic first aid. All programs, CPR, AED, and First Aid can be offered together or separately to meet your needs.

First Aid CPR

Emergencies requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can and do occur without warning. It is important that you know the basic emergency techniques for recognizing and treating failures of the respiratory system and heart. This one-hour course will focus on the ABCs of basic life support: maintaining an open airway, restoring breathing, and restoring circulation.

Basic First Aid

First aid is the immediate care for victims of injuries or sudden illness before professional medical treatment is available. It not only involves the victim's physical condition and emotional state but the entire emergency situation. This is a one hour training course.

First Aid AED

The primary focus of this two-hour course is the proper use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Use of the AED also includes the ABCs of basic life support: maintaining an open airway, restoring breathing, and restoring circulation, which will also be briefly reviewed in this training.

Medical Emergencies First Aid

Medical emergencies can occur at any time but may be hidden because of injuries suffered in an accident, or an accident may trigger a medical emergency such as a heart attack, stroke, or seizure. This one-hour training will focus on the signs and symptoms of specific medical emergencies and their treatment. Being trained in first aid could mean the difference between life and death.
